Our History

In 1999 Ocean Valley Aquatics was started as a sole proprietorship as part of a Student Entrepreneurship project at Acadia University. OVAC was started to support clients EIAs with fish and fish habitat assessments.

In 2009 Ocean Valley Associates Consulting Ltd. was registered in New Brunswick as a corporation to support clients such as NBTIR, wind power, and subdivision developers with regulatory approvals, EIAs, biophysical, archaeological and heritage resource projects.

In 2017 Ocean Valley Associates Consulting 2017 Ltd. was registered in Nova Scotia and Alberta as a corporation to support clients such as transportation, oil & gas, hydroelectric, civil contractors, government, engineering with environmental monitoring, regulatory approvals, EIAs, biophysical, archaeological and heritage resource projects.

In 2023 Kraken Consulting Ltd. was formed to support transportation, oil & gas, hydroelectric, civil contractors, government, engineering clients across Canada with environmental monitoring, regulatory approvals, EIAs, biophysical, archaeological and heritage resource projects.
